    It's listed for
    • $1499 on sagernotebook.com
    • $1419 on xoticpc.com, or $1376.43 with cash discount

Are any resellers offering discounts for this model that beat the $1419 / $1376.43 price from XOTIC?

I've read on this forum that resellers such as XOTIC offer an NBR discount, but when I emailed XOTIC I was told by the salesperson that no discounts were available.

Cheapest place you find it is usually Xotic and (by guarantee) LPC-Digital. If you find it cheaper brand new elsewhere, you might be able to price-match. Otherwise, that's the best it goes for. And to be honest it's a great deal.

    Agreed.

I'm debating between pulling the trigger now, and waiting a bit for the next version of laptops to come out.

Sager does have price MAP for all their resellers so you'll find the same price all around. The reason you see ours is $80 less then Sager directly is our option does not come with Windows. Once you add that then its the same price.

OK thanks, I was wondering about the $80 difference.

Can you articulate the value of working with a reseller, if the price point is the same? Customer service? Cash discount?

I bought my current Sager directly from Sager and not through a reseller. When I had a problem (hard drive died but it was my fault), they provided good service.

Cash discount and liaising with Sager for warranty/repairs.

You'll find most members here will tell you to go with a reseller. If there are any warranty claims you go through the reseller and we help you with it all. Not that Sager is bad at it as you mentioned, but we'll have more leverage when it really comes down to it. You will also get a longer warranty then going through Sager. There is also the cash discount some offer as you mentioned. You can also get additional options from resellers that are not offered by Sager directly. Some also offer longer phone tech support hours.

Ethrem, a regular poster here just had a recent experience which you can read his latest post here, it illustrates how a reseller can help you out

Since there are a few Sager resellers its good to contact them directly as see who you like most, but all the active ones here are of great help.
