    What's wrong with my NP8660 fan?

    I'm using NP8660.
    But the fan keep working almost all the time, even though the temperature is very low.
    Something wrong? :(

    you can toggle "Silent Mode"

    Oh ok.
    But how come the fan keeps running? I thought it should stop when the temperature is low.

    the fan is controlled with low-level firmware.

    since its only one fan to cool the CPU and GPU, the combination of the heat coming from both of those components may be enough to get the fan to switch on.

    It's normal that the fan keeps running. Happens to me also. I guess it's normal if you want the laptop to stay cool like it is now.
