This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    Yeah, really. Buying a whole new laptop for upgrades isn't very fun. CPU changes don't do much for me so Ivy bridge isn't as important as a GPU upgrade, at least from my perspective.

    Hi , I was about to import it in Europe as it was in my mind the only Ultrabook that you would customize.

    But even if the W540EU is considered as an ultrabook on the Intel website, it seems to be quite not close to the specs required :

    - Height : 2,5 cms at the back

    - Weight : 2,2 Kg because of the battery and the ODD drive.

    I guess they have several variations of this product and they will soon come with something thinner and lighter, but it might be a bit too late
