i just went on the eurocom site and they removed some of their models, like the 5796 (i dont know the other name) and one other one. they then added these two models that look at least 2 years old, with 7800GT graphics and this is for 3000!!??!? so i dont know what their doing, but if there gonna start selling 2 year old models for 3000$, there not gonna make alot of money

tornbacchus GO leafs.. Wait, Nevermid
-
They are probably just updating their website.
-
Eurocom is notoriously expensive, other places like XoticPC,PowerNotebooks and Sager are much, much cheaper.
I don't get why they are still selling those outdated notebooks. -
tornbacchus GO leafs.. Wait, Nevermid
well if they are i hope they drop the price on their 9262 (its almost 800 overpriced now)
-
just contact them to get updated pricing, as well as get a chance to negotiate pricing.
their site is notoriously not up to date with pricing for options. -
I live in Canada and Eurocom was a great choice for me, seeing as they are a canadian based company. I contacted Eurocom personally and they not only matched the XoticPC.com price for the configured NP8660 as i wanted it, but beat it by a decent ammount. I have had no problems thus far, and am just awaiting my order that i put through last week.
Just my 2 cents. -
tornbacchus GO leafs.. Wait, Nevermid
really?? sweet
@mausimo, if you dont mind, can you post your specs and the price before and after? ill also post mine and if you guys can tell me what would be a good deal, that would be amazing.
k here is what im gonna get... i configured it on xoticpc since eurocom site is messed right now (the 5796 is gone)

getting this from eurocom, id remove the webcam and bluetooth and just have the wifi.
do you guys think its worth the 35$ upgrade for the 2.53 processor difference?
this comes to about $2,339.00 USD on xotic before shipping and canadian taxes.
---remember, i only pay 5% tax and 39$ shipping from eurocom + the exchange rate
thanks to anyone in advance -
i got about the same config. exept P9500 and vista ultimate and got it for 2457$ CAD (incl. shipping and taxe) but I had to bargain a little bit
anyway everything about this is explained in the post ''eurocom best price''
-
Eurocom is amazing for match-pricing from negotiations I have had thus far. I have not officially paid for my notebook yet, but by the sounds of it, they are going to match the XoticPC price and I will not have to pay the shipping or brokerage fees. Without putting in the bluetooth, they will drop the price even further. This is the same deal many other Canadians have had with Eurocom. I am just awaiting their final cost and purchase confirmation from the price-matching! The machine will be a beast!

tornbacchus GO leafs.. Wait, Nevermid
so has anyone looked at the eurocom site today and saw the weird laptops that are there now?
-
Yeah, and your right, its messed up.
I visited eurocom website MANY times and I really dont know why the 570TU is not there anymore and that the old RU is back on the website but as mentioned above, they maybe under remarking it or something and put an old version for the moment, I really dont know but they told me that they still got some 570RU (NP5793) units for bargain.
P.S. : because of the Olympics and special airport security, the bunch of parts they receive from Clevo will be retarded for one week !!! **** china
So i guess im gonna have to wait another 2 week before getting that thing... Omg I can't wait -
Just contact Eurocom if you have any inquiries... like the models of notebooks and such.
They will handle it on the phone or email easily. Do not wait for the the website updates when you can just pick up a phone. -
Go to Eurocom and click " Showroom", the newer laptops are still there.

They told me they could have my D901C built, hopefully, by this Friday. I assumed they said this because they had all the parts in stock. They said that they already had the 9800M GT's in. I can't see what else, from the D901C that they could be missing...
:S -
a bit offtop but I was in the library(DC centre) at my school(UofWaterloo) today, and lo and behold theres a eurocom advertisement on one of the hanging LCD's in there!!! Stared for about 5 sec to make sure im seeing right...
-
^ ^ At least they know the good places to advertise.
