im actually wondering more about the P753DM itself.... what the heck? so now we have 750, 751, 775 and now 753? o_O i need to investigate this right away...

usually, the S versions start up with higher specs, but can be configured the same as the non S versions, but at a different pricing. basically, depending on configuration, u can save money by either going with an S or non-S version :)

edit: ah, nevermind, the "3" is just a difference in naming scheme for specific vendors selling clevo based machines. thats just so silly....why dont they just stick to the original clevo designations?! this only confuses customers....

It could be the Clevo sellers borrowing from Sager's scheme.

I'd pull up the site you are looking at and compare both models at the same time, side by side. If they are following the way Sager does it, then the -S is just like S is like a special sale, where it is the same base system, but just has some upgrades done at a bit of a discount on the S model. But I haven't seen anything on a P753 from from Clevo either.

I think they switch the names up to designate it as a "non-barebones" machine typically.

The P753 is just a version of P750DM for ProStar...

Our P753DM-GS is the same base system as the P750DM, albeit has its own hardware configuration at a discounted rate. It's sort of our "special package" version of the P750DM. We do the same thing with quite a few models.
