    Universal 12.7mm bay caddy

    5797 caddy

    2nd HDD / SSD caddy for Sager 5796, 5797 laptops [OBHD-SATA12-BU-J] - $44.75 : NewmodeUS, Hard Drive Caddys for Notebooks

    now i got a 5797 and comparing that caddy to the universal i see almost no difference, in the future i'll be upgrading my laptop off course and would like to be able to swap other 12.7mm bays from other common laptops with the optical drive caddy. So i'm just double checking, the universal 12.7mm is ideal correct and will be compatible with other laptops with optical bays? no problem for the universal to work in the 5979

    They seem identical. Maybe they create different pages for the same caddy in order to drive more traffic via search engines by using brand names / model names.

    It would be nice if Sager / Clevo resellers would stock these caddy's or a compatible caddy for aftermarket purchase. That way you can buy one at a later date without question of compatability.
