Title says it all. I was considering getting an X7200 or a 8760 soon, but with SB right around the corner, I'm not sure whether or not to take the plunge and buy or just wait it out for a bit.

Recent rumours indicate that Intel has a large stock of unsold chips from the current platform. Therefore they are offering no discounts to SB chips for the moment. This means that the general availability may be delayed until early February as many OEMs will try to get rid of what they have now.
Hope that helps. -
Somewhere between January and March, just like every other manufacturer.
Already having the 4670M, a decent gaming GPU, I say you should wait for the next generation. -
GTX 580M should be then out. Maybe more ram slots.

Judging by the two models that sager / clevo just EoL'ed (NP5135/B5130) or have deep discounts on (NP7130/B7130M) and when I just talked to Sager today I was told new models will be available by January. So at least for the optimus based stuff I would say that SB is coming sooner rather than later, and if I had to guess a lot of laptops will be rocking SB as soon as they can get their hands on them. The chips are in stock already, just need shell's to put them into.
