I'm interested in the P150EM and it would be very helpful to know when I could pre-order one or a Sager version. Thank you.

As soon as solid ETA's are set and NDA's are lifted you will see pre order. Unfortunately Intel has NDA's in place and pre orders will not be launched until the NDA's are lifted. In the past with new product releases Sager has always been the first to ship.

We are also excited for the new CPU's/GPU's and to see the integration of Back lit keyboards. Allot of new additions coming up in the refresh. :)

Oh I see :). Yes, I am very excited! My current laptop is a Acer 4820tg and I am dealing with heat and performance issues. I wanted a notebook with solid build quality and design, customer support, and user tampering ability, and I found Clevo/Sager/XoticPC and very inerested.

Mine too, I think I can wait a few months for the GPU/CPU refresh, the difference is going to be night and day comparing to my current laptop :D.

Yeah, my laptops 4+ years old, got a 8600nvidia in there. I had originally planned to purchase a new laptop for the holidays, but needed to use the money elsewhere with revised plans set up to buy it this spring/summer. Than when all this talk of a new nvidia chipset came out, I was like 'whew, worked in my favor'. I also have a Dell, this will be my first non-Dell purchase. A little nervous, but it seems I can get more bang for the buck.

You wont be disappointed with a clevo/sager. I've had my first one for 7 months and i probably wont go back to anything else.

Everything should be revealed at CeBIT, which runs from March 6 to 12.

Clevo already printed a press release, which says they'll have a booth with all of their new machines.

One can assume that Intel will have to be lifting its NDA at this conference.

same rubbbery coating on the 150? that looks like a decent keyboard, not as much light bleed as I was thinking there might be.

Is the nVidia 680M likely to cost just as much extra as the 580M currently does in Sager notebooks? I'm torn between getting a Sager 8170 with 580M or waiting for the refresh with a 680M. I can handle waiting a couple of months, but my budget isn't going to increase, so if the new stuff is anything more than $200 more expensive the wait will have been wasted.

From everything I've gathered (Clevo, MSI, Dell, Samsung..), the GTX 680M isn't even scheduled to be available at the launch of these new machines.

It will be 670M, 675M, and what AMD has is a mystery.

Fortunately we'll have answers to almost all of these details within the next two weeks.

I have seen some supposedly "leaked" sheets that put a premium of $200-$400 on the new nVidia Parts over the old in the high end.

But, reality could be quite a bit different. The re-badged 600 series products have all come in at the same or lower price.. so there is hope that you wont get gouged too bad. But one thing to keep in mind, you WILL pay full-pop retail for the parts for the first few months.

Ok, 1st of all buying a 580M is a total waste of money so close to the end cycle. I am positive that GTX670 or 675M will perform the same or better than 580M!!! and will not cost more than 580. so its pretty simple if you can wait 2 months you should atleast do so to read benchmarks and stuff and see how it is. Its only going to get cheaper!

Hey guys, do you believe they will be a refresh on the Sager NP8180 / Clevo P180HM i was about to purchase one at the end of the week . I honestly cant wait anymore. If there is that much of a difference between the 2 is it worth the wait for almost the same price. I'm pretty sure the refresh would make it cost more. :D

Just a little bit more if any, besides, if the refresh comes, the old parts will definitely become cheaper. The performance difference between is Sandy Bridge/Ivy Bridge, is about 20%, going by Cost per performance, and HIGH reduction in heat/power consumption. Chipsets always include something new. Clevo is replacing the chasis and motherboard, so new ports/integrated USB3.0, other stuff.

For me, I think it's absolutely worth it to wait at most 1 month 2 weeks.

Clevo is completely ending the P180HM's production, so there will be no refresh or future upgrades.

There is the P270WM, but no upgrade for the P180HM it's supposed to be discontinued, I'm pretty sure it's mentioned somewhere here in the thread.

EDIT: Oh I was too slow.. Kevin answered that alright :)

is the p270wm gonna be refreshed, or is that model already a refresh? I would love to see it with Ivy Bridge and Kepler/GCN and smaller chasis/lower power consumption.

The P270WM isn't really a refresh, but if it is, it's more likely to be the X7200 refresh :p
It does already come with IB... and probably with Kepler later (can't promise, but it'll happen).
