Hello all, I know the info is on the forums, but it seems scattered all over. I now have the money for a P170HM but can make due with my machine for a couple months if needed. I know it is best to buy whenever you want to or can, but it is close so worth looking into.

    • When will the new models be available for build on the resellers sites?
    • When will the new CPUs and GPUs be available? Same time as the new models?
    • Will the prices remain close to what they are now or is there a jump initially? Basically, not counting in any discounts, are the current prices the same as when the current models came out?

I know people say Q2, but is there a chance of getting a more defined time?

    Thanks all!

I believe the refreshes will come whenever Intel decides to release their new cpu. Prices, as mentioned by others, will be roughly the same as now's models.

Q2 is the best answer we can give to the public at the moment. Prices will be pretty much the same. (Don't have final pricing yet so can't say that for sure but should be)

Besides new CPU/GPU nothing, the interior design won't change, maybe a usb 2.0 for usb 3.0 port swap but nothing new. The keyboard will pickup a backlit option but thats about the only new feature.

Thunderbolt connectivity might also be included as the Ivy Bridge CPU's are supposed to have native support for it.

So when the Radeon 7970M releases, Clevo won't upgrade their graphics card with it? or will they do it once ivy bridge releases?

I'd bet to see them available as they are released. Since the Sager models that use that card typically have upgradable graphics they wouldn't need to wait for new motherboards. Won't know for sure until they are released though

Except that if it's Ivy Bridge it'll probably need another motherboard, especially with the backlit keyboard introductions.
