    When is the next price drop on 8662

    Can anyone give me an idea how long would it be for the next price drop from xoticpc, powernotebooks or pctorque? The config I want comes out to be $1400 which is a little above my price range. Also, I already have 2 laptops (Dell 700m and XPS M1330), but they are not adequate for gaming at all.

    When was the last price drop from xoticpc to the current price of $1350.24 (base config)?

    I dont think there will be a price drop for this system anymore, or at least soon. Recently, about a few weeks ago, they upgraded the stock processors. The minimum used to be the p8600 but now it is the p8700. I also asked Justin W from xoticpc if anything new will come out for the NP8662 within a month and he told me no.

    Every 3 moths there is drop of prices due to competition between different notebooks vendors.

    Expected price drop will be next October .

    Have to agree with everyone else...decide how much money your willing to spend, look around, ask questions and find the machine that best suits your needs at that time....buy it, be happy and enjoy.

    yes..and several months later ... there will be GTS260...GTS250..from nvidia...

    even if theres actually DX11 card..it would be useless if no games are supporting it...
