Xoticpc will be +130 for express shipping(needed) and then the normal 13% tax and the % that is converting it from USD to CAD.
I did it that way, before tax and conversion with shipping it was 2072 and then it was 2472 :(
But xotic is the way to go, dont do eurocom.
    Theres also http://www.google.ca/aclk?sa=L&ai=CKZWHumH0SpDlCdGYlQex6fCZC_i2qiz26uO-DOiL5IQNCAAQASC2VFDal6XY-f____8BYP2wmoHoA8gBAakCcu8v4iaArz6qBBZP0I-pDOD2AS7CEpo0ZiRMM3OO1eSu&sig=AGiWqtwRxp4rB88OJj1GZ9IM_DFOCe9OTQ&q=http://www.aetsolutions.ca/store/index.php%3FcPath%3D261

XoticPC is probably your best bet. They are reliable and reputable. Just be sure you have the cash on hand to pay the delivery person the cost of import tax when the machine gets to your door.

There are a number of vendors that will ship and support in Canada.

First is the company that is in Ontario:
www.eurocom.com .... the prices are are horrid, but can be negotiated down

Next are company that are in the US but are Canada-buyer friendly:

Then you have a lot of amazing and reputable vendors that ship internationally, like:
.... much more in the Clevo Guide

I would recommend finding one used on places like here or classified in canada or US and get it shipped, even with shipping if you do it right itll be cheaper than eurocom, they're WAY overpriced.

Im from canada too and ive looked into those in long and large

Thanks for all the great advice! I think XoticPC prices are really good, but also with the shipping and tax.. etc would get kinda pricy

You can also check out buydirectpc, they're in Vancouver.
Don't go with Eurocom, they're too expensive (among other issues).

Xoticpc, rjtech and pctorque seem to be good choices, if you have to order from the US.

Just be sure that you DO NOT buy from Eurocom!, it's not just their idiotic prices but they have ripped people off quite a few times in the past and can NOT be trusted.

I recommend you buy from a US based seller, like powernotebooks.com, XoticPC, or R&J Tech, they have good service, good people and good support, and they also have representatives frequently present on NBR that can help you out if you need them.

Eurocom seems to be the only vendor stationed in Canada.. and that's about it. They have very bad reputation, and I would certainly recommend not buying from them (better to pay the international shipping cost from other resellers). If you want to test your luck however..... that is up to you.

You should check out Pro-Star. They deal with a lot of Canadians.

buy american! the more canadians buy across the border the more it'll put pressure on canadian dealers to lower their prices, and perhaps our crappy policy makers will consider lowering our sales taxes

    xoticpc is awesome...

and wait a bit longer the canadian $ is on the rise again they say it could reach parity and even more in the next few weeks/months

I will get my notebook by the end of the week (I hope), I will then be able to give exact information on tax, duty, shipping costs and whatever else might be involved in ordering clevos from the US to Canada.

And yes, as far as my experience goes (as I said, my order is about to arrive), Xotic is awesome. Good prices, very good service (same-day email answers with all the information asked for, no problem fulfilling non-standard wishes, no problem changing orders after ordering, no problem with refunds, and always helpful and friendly.)

and it might be better for you if you stay away from eurocom.

In Canada, tax hikes come in bags.

For all out there who are confused about what to pay here's information about what happens moneywise when ordering from US to Canada:

You pay (when ordering from Xotic):
    - the prize for the system
    - 129 $US for UPS Worldwide Expedited Shipping (no costums duty)
    - Your bank will take approx. 100 CAD extra for converting currency
    - on delivery you pay province tax percentage GST+PST off the system prize

So at this time for a rig prized about 3200 US$ + 129 US$ shipping,
about 3650-3700 CAD will be taken out of your account,
and then you'll pay another 400-500 CAD on delivery (depending where you live),
coming to a total of about 4100-4200 CAD.

    And that's it. Happy ordering!

EDIT: And now I think it's time for me to have signature, too.

I'm pretty sure that you won't get railed for the extra $100 CAD if you buy the system using a credit card.

I used a credit card, and they took out about 100 CAD more than I had calculated with the at the time exchange rates. So it was either an exchange fee, or my bank had "special" exchange rates.
Maybe one can save some money by going for the cash-rebate xotic and other vendors offer, by paying with money order etc.

Thanks for the good advice guys! I think xoticpc sounds great so many great things people have said about them. Good reviews indeed!

Anyone know if and when they usually show their christmas prices?
