I've made up my made to buy an NP9262, but haven't decided on where to buy it from. I bought a Sager directly from Sager a five or six years ago and got great service from them. I see lots of people here posting about Xotic PC and Torque PC. I've speced out laptops and there is very little price difference between Sager and resellers. What is the advantage buying from a reseller?

Welcome to the NBR forums. :)

we went over this many times in many threads.

with the reseller (like XoticPC, Powernotebook, etc..) you get:
    - an addition 2 year labor warranty for free
    - no taxes usually
    - great service/support.

Another reputable Clevo rebrand is Prostar. I got mine through the reseller Lynnbay. Link to the same notebook here.

XoticPC and PowerNotebooks are the most reknown Sager resellers here.
Can`t go wrong with either one.

powernotebooks and xoticpc are such close competitors that buying from one is pretty much the same as buying from the other. they are both very good companies. both have reps regularely on here (i havnt been on for about 3months so maybe that has changed?)

I can speak to the professionalism and helpfulness of Justin from Xotic. My last laptop was bought over 5 years ago, and while I've perused these forums for awhile (and was considering buying from Justin in early '07 due to a similar impression I had received then), I have held off - mainly due to being overwhelmed with options and choices.

I still feel the same way, but he's been patient in holding my hand and answering all my questions, giving astute pros and cons of all the options available.

I've been looking at Powernotebooks and Xotic, I am very impressed with both of them. I'm sure I could have found this info in other threads, but the amount of info available on these forums is overwhelming. Thanks for everybody putting up with a new member and I'm going to try and read more on here when I have the time. Thanks again.
