    My vendor is PCMW but I noticed that their laptop parts (CPU, GPU, RAM, etc.) cost too high compared to other vendors. Other vendors won't let me buy from them since I did not buy the laptop from them.

    Where can I buy most of the components of the laptop? I want to upgrade the CPU to X9100.

    I've noticed a few X9100's on the 'bay, if that helps.

    But make sure they are a respected seller, good feedback etc. before buying.

    ES - engineering sample, basically one of the first produced CPUs (not retail)
    QS - qualification sample, CPU sent to manufacturer's to test compatibility (not retail)
    ^both are still the manufacturer's (Intel/AMD) property
    Retail - revised, legal CPU

    No P9700s, but you can get an OEM (not an engineering sample) T9900 from eBay for $435. If I didn't already have this T9800, I'd snatch one.

    T9900 = 35w, X9100 = 45w.

    X9100 is an extreme chip, and can be overclocked via BIOS, if the notebook allows it (ours doesn't).

    nope, only extreme chips are OCable via multiplier (if the notebook supports it)

    any cpu is OCable via fsb (again if the notebook supports it)

    The M860TU does not support either of these methods.
