I don't think the bios for the 901c supports 280m's in sli.

ugh john, ur killing me. I just switched to 185.85 dox, and I'm loving these drivers. I'm running 600/900/1500 right now for gameplay. Playing Fallout 3 on ultra, never dropping below 50 fps (60's max) and never going above 65C...

...I'll see what I can do though.

Nice, the 9262 still has the best vantage scores to date, correct? Since the w90 has a weak cpu.

they ran it with a qx9300 and didn't break 11k, but jamie with his over clocked dual core did. not sure what's going on with all that...thought the qx would have helped, but it seems to help in dual core mode but not in quad core mode.

and i found out some other interesting things...i ran my i7 at 4.5 ghz and at 2.66 ghz and my gpu score stayed the same....fancy that....

well processor score shouldn't help the gpu score after a certain point...that point being when the processor is sending information faster than the gpu, so that makes sense.

still no pm from justin so i sent a email to [email protected] about my barebone config and how it would cost. As for GTX 280M in SLI on the d901c, I dont think it will either but might as well try and get it to support it. I just want to know the status on it that is all. If I do decide to buy a d901c, it does game as one of the best right? I want very good performance games like crysis, far cry 2, crysis warhead, gta 4 and more. I just dont know whether SLI is worth it or just go for the 9280. the 9280 will probably run gta 4 better also. does the 9280 have overclocking?

rjtech has the d901c barebones still..try emailing/calling them.

it starts at 2299, but with a quadro. the next option is for 9800GTX SLI and that starts IIRC 2799 or so.

    im debating on that one.

The 9280 WILL NOT support SLI. The 9262 will still be the most powerful gaming notebook on the market after the 9280's ship. The M980 will most likely beat it by a small margin, along with the new alienware "allpowerful" (10-15%).

I know that. I dont want the d901c anymore anyway. too hard to find and too much money. hopefully by the time the m980nu comes out then i will have enough money. any chance at all the qx9300 prices will drop a bit so i could get one? great processor and pairs with gta 4 nicely. hopefully the m98 will have overclocking.
