One of my friends has a W860CU with USB 3.0 and we would like to try out a 470m GTX. Its a shame because he got his Clevo from the states at the end of last year and he should've just gone for the better option, oh well. Anyone know the cheapest and closet place we can get it from? Currenty the cheapest is from Eurocom on ebay and the closest is from clevo.fr shipped from Paris. Anyone have further insight? Resellers maybe help us out?

What's wrong with the options you already have?

Other than those, you might want to check with Kobalt Computers.

Following on from the above, according to this webpage the 970x is still configurable with single or dual 470m cards. If you configure the G170m you can also get the 470m as an option.

If you're looking for the card itself and not a laptop on its own, you'll have to ask MXM upgrade.

Yeah I just want the card. I've asked MXM upgrade and am waiting for them to get some in stock possibly. I have also asked Kobalt and they won't sell parts to non-customers, understandable really.

I've been thinking about buying a 6970 for my laptop and might be willing to part with the gtx470m I currently have in it. I'm not sure what that would do to my warranty tho. Maybe someone can help me out with that? Thing is, I still have to send my laptop back to Sager eventually for the swap. Not sure if I can do anything until then either.

Oooh def interested if you have it spare. But of course warranty comes first so don't do something you'll regret. You can always get the 6970 from mxm-upgrade.
