Question is in the title, any information given will be helpful! My friend doesn't like his glossy screen. Also can the screen from a W150HRQ will work on a W150HNQ? I'm assuming it is but want to make sure.

I don't know of any retailers that sell those screens individually, unfortunately. I have had several people mention they found them on ebay, but obviously you have to be careful when ordering something as sensitive as these panels from that type of vendor.

That's probably not the real thing. If you see the word "compatible" ANYWHERE In the listing, no matter how it's being used, it's probably a fraudulent seller trying to sell an LG-branded display that just happens to use the same display connectors and everything. Everyone is doing this, not just this guy.

I can't say for sure, but considering the v4 screens were discontinued, I wouldn't be surprised if all models for sale out there are "similar" products. Also note that the "acceptable number" of dead pixels they list is 1-5, so they may have been factory reject screens or those that are considered factory seconds.

    1. Pop the LCD bezel rubber pips out with your nail. They are stuck in the screw holes with double stick tape.

    2. Undo the screws.

    3. Pop the bezel off. It's being held by tiny clips all around the LCD. You can do it by either inserting and wiggling some thin plastic thingy in the outside seam of the bezel or gently wiggling and pulling the bezel inserting your nails between LCD and bezel (starting from the bottom).

    4. Undo the screws that hold LCD in place.

    5. Put it down on the keyboard to undo the cable (make sure you use some padding between LCD and keyboard). You have to unstick the tape that holds connector in place - the part that's stuck to LCD itself, not on the cable connector. You'll be reusing it with new LCD.

    6. Get your new LCD and install in reverse order.

    7. Grab a cold beer and enjoy your new screen.

    Hey

We have the B156HW01 V1 and the V4 screen, just shoot me a PM and I can get you pricing etc.

Just FYI the V1 is the standard gamut matte screen and the V4 is the high gamut matte screen.

    Thanks!
