Does anyone know where to find screws for clevos? more specifically screws for heatsinks (such as GPU), since some of my screws have their tops stripped and only way i can get it out is by drilling it out, rendering it useless, so i need to replace them.

I guess you can replace them with steel screws?
I was wondering that myself. I planned a "trip" to my local "bob the builder" shop, but Ive been too busy to actually go and check for strong screws for my laptop.
The plan was to remove all black-painted screws (which are very flimsy by the way) with steel ones.

At the moment, I have temporarily solved the dilemma with some other screws I had in my collection, which are definetely stronger and have a yellow coating that resists scratches.

Alternatively, besides a house-garden type of market, you may check with your local laptop service shops, they may even give you some screws for free!

Just PM/email your reseller, they should be able to hook you up. I'm surprised more manufacturers don't sell a "fastener service kit" or whatever. Would be nice to have because those are hard to find screws for the regular consumer.

Yes they are very sensitive to screwdriver size, I had issues when my screw was actually badly threaded meaning it just shredded instantly, but all resellers should have some hanging around.

As long as you can match the thread and dimensions of the screw, you can fit a generic one in. But it needs to be spot on. Even if you don't go through the manufacturer or reseller for replacements (which is probably ideal), you CAN get replacement screws; but you'll need to take one or more into a hardware store and make sure what you buy is identical.

Yes true about sensitive to screwdriver head size. I ended up having to use one of my large headed philips to remove this tiny screw, but the head fit great and gave me great leverage, lol. I guess moral of the story is... bring a bigger hammer.
