    Where to purchase a Sager/Clevo?

    I am interested in purchasing a 9262 or an NP5796. Has anyone purchased direct from Sager? I have also been looking at the Xoticpc guys too. Anyone have any feedback on these two machines and suppliers? Thanks

    Yeah, XoticPC is great. I'd recommend buying either from them or PNB.

    Does Xoticpc add on to the Sager warranties? I noticed they have an ok selection of warranties from their own to only Sager but have not seen anything with accidental coverage other than the lcd. What warranty did you happen to choose?

    There are a whole slew of resellers who sell Sagers and/or Clevos (a Sager being a rebranded Clevo). Gophn's Clevo Guide - which is a must-read for anyone interested in a Sager/Clevo - lists most of them (all the ones who've been identified, as far as I know). The Clevo Guide also lists, or provides links to, BBB reports and reseller ratings. Were I you, I would read the Clevo Guide carefully - it will answer many of your questions.

    Warranty questions that cannot be answered from reading the warranty information each reseller has on their website should be addressed directly to the relevant reseller.

    I bought direct from Sager before knowing that there were other resellers. The price was basically identical to powernotebooks and xotic pc (I think they might have been a couple bucks cheaper). I got my notebook on the day they said I would and it only took them 2 days to get it shipped, and this was with a new NP5796. It was packaged perfect, came with a carrying bag, and had no dead pixels. So I am pretty happy buying from sager.
