Just random curiosity of what people prefer in LCD's.
-
WUXGA.Definitely glossy.
-
dual lamp for sure.. better game performance and brighter/better contrast
-
It's quite an obvious choice. Are there any dual lamp LCDs available in Sager laptops?
-
There are no dual lamps. I'd kill for one...
-
as long as you have at least 500:1 contrast, you should be fine.
most of the LCDs that Sager uses have at least 600:1. -
gophn have you seen a n-series fujitsu lcd in person? does the glossy 1680x1050 on the 9262 look similar in quality?
-
the n-series with 1680x1050 is using an LG panel I believe... which should be the same/similar panel on the 17" Clevo's.
-
how can you tell which brand the lcd is?
-
If you have a 17" Sager... its LG.
LG panels are used in pretty much 99% of all (HP, Dell, etc..) 17" notebooks that have high resolutions (1680x1050 and up).
other LCD panels (like Samsung) are seen on lower resolutions (1440x900 and under) -
I have heard that the 17 inch wsxga+ From samsung is better than the LG one.
-
Most OEMs are fitting their 17" notebooks with high-resolution LG panels for the cost/quality ratio and the availability.
Which LCD would you choose for your 17" Sager
