    dual lamp for sure.. better game performance and brighter/better contrast

    It's quite an obvious choice. Are there any dual lamp LCDs available in Sager laptops?

    as long as you have at least 500:1 contrast, you should be fine.

    most of the LCDs that Sager uses have at least 600:1.

    gophn have you seen a n-series fujitsu lcd in person? does the glossy 1680x1050 on the 9262 look similar in quality?

    the n-series with 1680x1050 is using an LG panel I believe... which should be the same/similar panel on the 17" Clevo's.

    If you have a 17" Sager... its LG.

    LG panels are used in pretty much 99% of all (HP, Dell, etc..) 17" notebooks that have high resolutions (1680x1050 and up).

    other LCD panels (like Samsung) are seen on lower resolutions (1440x900 and under)

    I have heard that the 17 inch wsxga+ From samsung is better than the LG one.

    those are very rare to find... but it still depends on the specs of the panels.. not just the brand.

    Most OEMs are fitting their 17" notebooks with high-resolution LG panels for the cost/quality ratio and the availability.
