    Here's my issue.

I need a gaming laptop with a good trackpad. I learned to play mmo's on a laptop without a mouse so I rely entirely on the trackpad and hotkeys.

I've heard terrible things about the P150HM toughpad and have decided to steer away from that model. I have had a hard time getting decent information about the P170HM and P180HM's trackpads. I cant go with the X7200 as that is just too out of my budget (2k-2.1k out the door)

I would like to go with Malibal as there is no sales tax which will allow me more upgrade.

With the trackpad issue being a huge issue, are the P170 and the P180 good options or should i be looking into a different brand?

Any info will help! Thanks a ton!

I really appreciate the input alucasa thank you.

Guess I should state that I'm not looking for a solution rather than how the trackpads on the mentioned models are or other brands of computers that are as configurable along with a good trackpad.

    thanks again!

The P170 has the same touchpad as the P150, and I believe the P180's is also the same as well. I would definitely not recommend them if you are primarily going to use the touchpad as a means of control, it is probably the only real weakness I have found with my Clevo.

I honestly don't know why everyone rubbishes the track pad.. it really isn't that bad. The only thing I would change would be the size of it, but upping the sensitivity usually fixes that.
I use my gf's macbook air alot, and those track pads are really nice. But there isn't really much difference between the clevos and the macbooks IMO.

Trackpad on the P150HM is actually one of the better ones ive used but i agree for any serious work or gaming just get a mouse or trackball.
