Going forward even if you don't like 10, there's not a lot of driver support on newer hardware for older operating systems, that's likely driving a good deal of adoption.
W10/8.1 get way more hate than they deserve if there's not a program compatibility issue or contract requiring an older OS. You can make them look and act like an older OS if you really want, all the features are still there.

Windows 8.X was the piece of garbage that greased the sewer pipe for Windows 10. Aesthetically, they are both an abortion... but fixable with enough effort and third-party fixes. By default, both OSes look like a pastel-colored cartoon vomit bomb went off inside of your PC. Moving the tiled feces from the desktop to the Start Bloat Menu only helped a little bit. It's still too hideous to use in the default form. StartIsBack or Classic Shell have to be installed immediately or it makes me too angry just looking at it.
Windows 10 is more detestable because of its advanced malware behaviors and built-in acts of violence against their customers. It carries a rootkit and a keylogger payload. Unless hacked, Micro$oft has assumed the role of digital despot by denying end users the right to control what happens as far as spying and forced updates. This is unforgivable. I find it impossible to respect that and feel they deserve to suffer severe long-term financial harm for their indiscretion. I'd like to see somebody do some jail time over it, but that'll likely never happen, as deserved as it would be. It never ceases to amaze me that some people think all of this nonsense is OK.
I run both. I use W7 because it's superior and exploit W10 where I can derive a benefit of some kind from exploiting it. The exploitation and the act of defying Micro$loth's wishes by breaking their Nazi filth is one benefit (pleasure) that I derive from it.Last edited: Nov 1, 2016TBoneSan, Hanamichi23 and Ashtrix like this. -
I using Windows 7 out of familiarity and also, specialised hardware/software that cannot be supported in future Windows versions due to issues
Heck, this made me recall how I have to revert my friend's laptop from Windows 10 to Windows 7 due to strange crashes...
Which OS do you use on your Clevo?
