This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    i actually like vista 64bit, but i always scored better in xp 32bit. also, i cant use serato scratch live in vista64 so im stuck with xp for now which isnt a bad thing :)

    I was doing benchmarks on my desktop system yesterday and had 9 bluescreens within an hour. The OS is very very unstable, if you like to tweak your machine at all stick with XP. It reminds me of that Microsoft virus, what was that again? Oh Windows ME lol.

    Anywho on my desktop with 2x7950GX2's (quad sli) I could only pull 5.5k in 3dmark06 with vista. XP I get a little over 9k ;)

    Quad 7950 get only 9 k? that sucks, SLI 7900 should get you 9 k,quad should be well above 10k.

    I don't trust 3dmark as an accurate benchmarking tool, it's really best to test between games, IMHO. :)

    9 or 10k is about right for the cards.
    I hope better drivers come out for quad SLI.
