I was looking at ibuypower.com and found out that P151HM1 is built from sager/clevo base.
So... after researching i came to this website which i came about several months ago to ask some laptop questions.
I am wondering... which reseller I should buy from? I read about hundreds of posts about XoticPC and Malibal resellers and they are both good. I dont see any feedback from Powernotebooks but they are good too
I am living in California and looking to buy the P151HM1...
Anyone can tell me where I should buy from?
also another question... Why is p151hm1 lower price than brands like asus with lower specs? is it asus is well known? and is it mostly brand costs?

Ultimately, you need to make the decision who to buy from yourself. All I can say is all the resellers who post here are very good and helpful, can't go wrong with either malibal or xotic.
I agree, you will get a lot more for your $$ compared to the asus model and it's actually a better built machine. -
this is my first laptop that im going to buy... how long does these built laptops last? -
That's hard to say, anything electronic has a good chance of going bad very quickly. I'm just judging the machine by the quality of components, you get a heavy duty power supply, quality screen etc.
I had an asus G1 gaming laptop previously and it would literally get so hot on the keyboard it was hard to touch, this new machine has a far superior cooling system and is very easy to access all the parts and work on yourself.
I consider myself very picky, I only have a couple small problems with the sager/clevos (mostly cosmetic and some ergonomic things) -
im buying a laptop so i can bot 24/7 with battery charging... with highest specs cus i dont want to buy low specs with my money. -
Not many other places you can basically pick each and every part that goes into your machine and still come out the same if not cheaper than a pre-built. Not to mention top notch customer service from the re-sellers, try to find a rep from asus or dell you can actually talk to like this.

that is very true. thank you very much for the information. i will take it into consideration.

If it helps, I've had a customer walk in with a 5+ year old Sager (I forget the model) where his exhaust fan went out. I popped the laptop open and replaced his fan and CMOS battery and it was good as new.

Another good thing to note is that Clevo / Sager laptops are FULLY UPGRADABLE when it comes to the compoents, warranty, and ease of access. This is the biggest selling point in my book.
For Asus you can't upgrade the GPU or CPU without voiding the warranty (not to mention taking the whole laptop apart).
To see what I'm talking about look at these two links in comparing the ease of access when upgrading a Clevo vs an Asus.
Clevo upgrade - http://forum.notebookreview.com/sag...m-upgrade-guide-please-keep-thread-clean.html (simply remove 4 screws and you get at EVERYTHING for this laptop... ok minus 2 memory slots under the keyboard, but that's even easy)
Asus Upgrade - Notebook Help Laptop help troubleshooting - View Single Post - Asus G74 G74Sx disassembly repair fix how to remove take appart (getting to the CPU and GPU require you to take the ENTIRE laptop apart, and even then you will void the warranty when you do so)
The time / headache / etc. just isn't worth it. -
So basically it comes down to Malibal and Xotic basically?

Hi,
I'd like to add that if one wants to put in the parts like cpu, gpu, memory, hard drives, optical drive, wireless, etc., instead of buying it prebuilt, for Clevos at least, the place i recommend is rjtech.com. They are based in California and as far as I know are the only ones in the USA that sell Clevos that you can purchase with/without parts and put them in yourself as well.
