Aw... I guess if I need the laptop soon I'll have to make do with the 9800gt. How much will the card (9800gtx) be if I wanted to upgrade later? Would that be an option and if so can a user self-install? or would I have to send it back to you guys to put it in?

Wait... what? Which ETA has been moved to late August? The 9800m GTX or the Sager NP8660?

Please, please tell me it's not the 8660. That would suck because it would seriously mess up my plans.

The 9800M GTX ETA August 22 according to Sager.
Also according to Sager the ETA for the 8860 is Friday August 8th. So give them the next week to test and build and start shipping the week of the 18th (Monday) - 22nd (Friday) for the first batches ordered. <--- This is all if everything goes according to Sager's ETA. It could get delayed or pushed early.

Okay, phew. When you wrote late August, I thought you meant that you would start shipping the 8660 on the 31st.

I think it depends on what your watching. If you're watching a video that is 720x480 pixels then a 1440x900 screen will give you the best image quailty, a video with an 848 width might be best viewed with a 1680x1050 screen, and a blue-ray dvd would be best viewed with a 1920x1200 screen. Along those lines a 1280 width video might look best on the 1920x1200 screen.

We now know that the m860tu / np8660 has the following screen options:
15.4" (16:10) WSXGA+ (1680x1050) with Super Clear Glare Type Screen or
15.4" (16:10) WUXGA (1920x1200) with Matt Finished Type Screen

(Anyone else find it odd that matt finish was the choice they decided for the 1920x1200 HD screen?)

The WUXGA systems started shipping pretty recently. Hopefully some of people recieving those systems will be nice enough to provide us with their opinions of the screen resolution and quality.

Donald (paladin44), Justin (XoticPC), and other resellers who have had the system on hand could also provide some valuable insight as well. ;)
