Which one of these two screens would you choose for the Clevo P170HM and why?

    AUO B173HW01 V5 matte 72% gamut
    AUO B173HW01 V4 glossy 90% gamut

That link is an excellent resource and provides alot of answers for you.
The way I like to narrow it down the easiest is based on what you're using the comptuer for.

Glossy is more vibrant so is better for gaming

Matte has better color representation so color critical work, things like photo editing, its better.

Both are actually great screens. I also prefer the glossy myself as the colors are more vivid, and I don't work a lot in well lit areas. Most of my work is done in an office building away from the windows, so glare does not become an issue for me. One of the things that a lot will say for the matte is if you are working for longer hours on the machine, the matte displays tend to be a little easier on the eyes.

I can testify to how beautiful the glossy screen is. I consider it to be the best upgrade I made to this notebook, only second to the money spent on the 6970M. It's that good.

I hope AUO develops a 90% or more Matte option someday.

Thanks :) I'm convinced with the glossy 90% screen now.
So there is a big difference between a 70% and 90% gamut screen? Besides the matte and glossy

I'm really hoping for a 120hz matte screen, 40 pin that will work with the 6990m card. The stock screen isn't bad at all, but the glare is pretty bad with any lighting behind you.

The 90% Glossy is very vibrant and bright. Even thought the 72% matte has less vibrancy, many users on this forum have opted for it because of it's no glare. :)
