    Hi all,

Looks like I'll be getting a Laptop for Xmas (Thanks 2 the Mrs) but I am undecided.

I will be using it to mainly game : WoW, GW2, SWTOR, some TF2.

I cant decide between the 15.6" Vortex II (based on p150hm)

    i5 2430m
    4gb Ram
    gtx 560m
    500gb Scorpio Black

    Price £1049.00

    or

17.3" Optimus II (based on W170hr)

    i5 2430m
    8gb Ram
    gt555m
    500gb Scorpio Black

    Price £846.00

Both Machines will have the standard 1920x1080 Display and come with a 2 year warranty.

I want to know if the 15.6" laptop is worth the extra £200 for the games I will play?

certainly will be worth the extra 200.
the gtx560 will walk all over the 555 which is a lower spec card and is more for battery life as the 555 is based on optimus technology with switchable graphics.
someone else will have to advise on the 555 and them games as ive never played them so dont know how demanding they are.

The GTX 560M averages about 60% better performance then the 555M does. If you're more into gaming and not really worried about battery life the 560M is definitely the way to go.

Definitely option 1. The GPU is leaps and bounds better.

    Cheers!

    Hi,

Thanks for all the replies - gtx 560m seems to be best option.

560 if you value your grandmother's money.
