Anyone know what all places are selling the P150SM?
I know mythlogic is but the price seems a bit high on it (probably since no one else is really selling so they can, which I don't blame them for).
I think it's sad Sager is not selling it. For a company that prided itself on users being able to customize things they sure removed a level of that.
Even Clevo (whom I think was not so bright with the new model) was smart enough to offer the older style still. The problem is by places like Sager trying to only force sell the newer one that could sway the sales on a larger scale and make Clevo think users love that design more and phase out the old one or make it the new standard. I agree both old and new are not perfect but the old is much better vs. the new in my opinion.
**end rant**

Sager and any place that sources their Clevo chassis from Sager dont offer it. There has been some disappointment in them not getting it, I know the main reason is the design of the 157SM doenst appeal to every one. It does have an advantage of two hard drive bays (one of them only fits a SSD) vs the P150SM only one hard drive bay. Sager has not totally ruled out the 150SM, just dont plan on it for the immediate future.
-
The extra bay isn't really an advantage anymore since they have 2 msata now and the newer msata are starting to have similar performance finally (initially they had been a bit slower on the writes).
I do however understand this is just my opinion and some will like the new design, not care, or still want the extra drive bay. -
So far I have only seen mythlogic. And yes, I agree, their price is way too high.

The extra bay does mean you could do mSATA + 2 1TB drives for lots of cheap storage
-
You can't do 2 1TB drives as one of the bays is smaller and can only fit an SSD is my understanding.
That said, I am fine with two mSata in raid and a single HDD and my blu-ray burner. Don't need another drive.
As for prices, I don't think mythlogic is "way" to high. It probably does a little less business vs say XoticPC or another big Sager reseller so they won't get as great of deals on volume pricing for clevo parts.
Are they more? Yes, but you also get little extra things from them for it too. I also have seen good comments about them.
It is like buying gas or anything else. Prices will always be different. I am sure plenty of places cost even more.
If I made decent money myself and had to waste I would have NP giving the smaller guys the extra business. My issue is I don't really have much money to spend, shouldn't even be spending it and am a cheap SOB :/ -

As you mentioned mythologic, I cocluded that your probably talking about the US market. If not only America, than I saw on PCspecialist.uk that thay already have them stock. And yeah, I also dont like the looks of the 157SM models and preffer much more the "older" konzervative design of 150sm.

Another reseller with the Haswell models checking in!
-
@Scott-PWNPC, excellent, I just saw that you also offer Scandinavian keyboard albeit with a £45 extra. I was going to buy the W230ST, but it turned out to big as a secondary laptop, so I rather keep my W110ER and go with the P150SM as my primary laptop.
-
@Scott Yep I confirm ! D:
-
In my opinion, the new series are like cheap toys. That stupid logo on the touchpad and power button, also, the led volume indicators? Seriously?
Otherwise, the new design looks pretty good. -

Looks like the veil was lifted, so we should be getting the P150SM and other models within the next month or two.
-
Thanks -
Anyone know when the normal p150 will be offered by sager? I would buy the myth logic but it is very over priced.
-
The P150SM looks remarkably similar to the P150EM, just a few harder design lines on the lid, the lit touchpad, and the indicator/speaker bar at the top are different. The back grilles are a bit different too, but nothing remarkably different.

Not at the moment, no. The word is sort of mum as of right now, but because people are asking about the P150SM, it was decided we would see more of them in circulation.
Gotta give the people what they want, right? -
Anyone got any ETA updates? Sager plan to offer these yet? I would love an -S discounted model with the gangsta upgrades lol..

No ETA that I know of, although we've seen some new units fall in our lap more recently (like the P172SM-S). Hopefully soon!
Who all sells P150SM?
