i prefer hardware ocing in any case myself.

it's permanent. and thats the way I like it.

the pin mod I did works awesome and is stable very well. and I gained alot of performance in applications and encoding/transcoding.

Well, I own a q6700. I decided to buy a q6600. I did the mod also (1 pin, 2 pins). I did several tests. Prime, 3dmark06, crysis. These programm's where stable, but when I tried to encode MP4 using nero recode, the laptop crashes. I tried it several times but no luck. Even prime 1024 was stable, but nero recode fails. So it is not so stable as everybody thinks. I put my q6700 back and the laptop is stable as a rock. I tried to obtain the datasheet from ICS but they are not responding to my mails.

using zalman cooler and max fans I never break 60 degrees now.

it took a week of cycling power use for my as5 to sink in.

did a whole bunch more benches and stress tested by transcoding demuxing and multiplexing via tmp and a x264/ tsmux etc.

    no problems at all.

you must have been running stock fans or didn't do the mod or seat the cpu right bud.

because I have no problems and haven't crashed a single time

Well, I obtained the 9LPR363 from Abo, the creator of setfsb. Now you can fiddling around with your D901C :) .

Does this mean the d901c can be overclocked with setFSB soon?

Nope, setfsb already supports the 9LPR363DGLF and not the 9LPR363EGLF. There is some difference unfortunate. I'm studying the document at the moment.
