Whom? Is worth a $hit to buy from?

That is the question, I basically know what I just don't know who to buy it from. Over the last 15 years I've owned Sony's, HP's, Alienware's, Dell and killernotebooks builds. But after being burnt a few times I have a time just blindly sending someone 4 grand. Mark at killernotebook built great stuff and getting ahold of him to get stuff fixed was so easy. I've owned 4 alienware computers the first I bought when alienware was a starting company was a good machine but as alienware grew their customer service got worse and worse. One of my laptops they had for a solid 4 months, and another had the Mobo replaced in it 4 times in the first 6 months.

Not to sound like a racist jerk but when I call customer service I don't like having to ask the person to repeat themselves 30 times cause I can't understand their terrible broken english. Most of you won't believe this but years ago alienware tech was still in miami and they were awesome and you could understand them.

This is what I plan on buying.

I've sent xoticpc several emails over 3 weeks and never heard back so I'm not sure what is the deal with them

Maybe they will answer me back on these forums. I wish I had to balls to try alienware again since. I haven't purchased a computer from them since the Dell buy out. But after the last laptop I got from them they left a really bad taste in my mouth. I seriously had to wait 4 month while my laptop sat in miami or whereever they send it just for a replacement harddrive and mobo

been there and got the tee shirt, literaly.
had the original m15x for 19 day and spent at least 1-2 hours a day/every day onto tech support. many many problems but main one was a fried mobo. repaired and returned in someone elses chassis with their nameplate on it. cancelled and refund straight away. never again.

send a pm to Justin@XoticPC or Hutsady@XoticPC who is online now.

Well, Dell does things differently. You can really have a very nice benefit of a NBD warranty if going the AW route. You ask on AW boards for more details.

This thread is a great reminder that the reseller thread is sorely outdated. Some of the resellers listed there are no longer in business e.g., hypersonic, pc microworks

I have to say, my limited experience with Xoticpc thus far has been stellar.

i tried updating the resellers model numbers in an xl file as there are so many different model numbers in various parts of the world but its not as easy as it sounds. im just about to get on a plane so cant do anything til next week but ill start a new thread with what info i have so far and then members or resellers can add to it.

Seems resellers are dropping like flies. Make it even more scary to buy a new laptop, wont know if they will be still in business next month.
