I certainly do and if it's not already being thought about I say we relay the idea to both clevo and resellers enmasse :D

I know they could easily produce a battery pushing this laptop to about 4hrs.
Which would be another great selling point - a gaming laptop with ~4 hrs runtime on the road. It can be done if we can squeeze 2 and 1/2 hrs out of a measly 4400mah 8 cell battery.

The thing is though, this battery looks like it was made for the laptop, down to the shape and dimensions. So how would a higher capacity battery work, where would it protrude?

When you are looking for longer battery life, I believe you should lower the power requirements of the laptop, not raise the battery capacity.

the thing is also - a higher capacity battery would not need to be larger. There are 8 cell batteries that have significantly higher capacities per cell...there's no reason you can't put a higher capacity battery in that same space. and the power requirements are very low as is, and i've undervolted low-level states already to save power. A higher capacity battery would provide a huge benefit.

I'd go for a better battery...I wish they'd designed it in a way that bigger batteries would just protrude. But in the end, I'll just have to live with the less than ideal battery life because this is the only 15" laptop that will play Crysis nicely...well, I still have a couple of months to decide, so here's to hoping for a minor miracle.
