I would realy love to have that beast produced again, since right now the Alienware 18 is the only one of its kind. An updated M980NU would offer great competition! Or atleast something similair, since I would realy like to see an 18" Clevo again!

Unlikely to happen with the p370 series around. You have the dual card performance along with a 17.3 inch panel. 17.3 inch is better due to the higher quality panels available along with the 120hz option.

Is the difference between 17 and 18 really that BIG?

From our side the 18" form factor just wasn't popular enough to warrant all the upfront manufacturing and development costs associated with the larger chassis design. It was great for some people, but they are a very small subset of the overall and from a business perspective I just don't think it made sense to have developed every generation.

Yeah, as Derek mentioned, there just isn't a big enough market for the 18" panels.
