So mine finally shipped. It only took 3.5 weeks. Partly my fault, I really just had to have that SSD, and it delayed the build by 2 weeks. They were ready to ship with a HDD in just 10 days, and customer service was excelent. They were always in touch, calling me to update me on the status of the order. Sales rep was really knowledgable about the system and components, and we had a nice talk about cooling systems.

I got the NB to celebrate my new job, and to replace my useless Dell M1210, which overheats to the point of being worthless. I cant wait to do some gaming, and hit up the games I had to miss.

For the power, and future-proofing to some extent. Been reading the thread, looking forward to some good O/C.

    CPU
I had them upgrade me to a E8600, which wasnt listed on their website. 3.3GHZ, I should be able to O/C it to at least 4GHZ

    4gb RAM

Intel 80gb SSD - The best on the market. Very stable, high performance. Not alot of space, which is why I'll be upgrading to a RAID 0 next year when the price drops/size increases

I have a 500gb external thats going to hold all my music/videos/unused games

For cooling, I have a NZXT CRYO that I've heavily modded. Removed the top mesh grill, and cut holes aroudn the fans in the bottom one. I want to switch out the stock 120x25mm fans with ones that move more air, its kinda wimpy as it is. I also have it plugged into an AC-USB hub.

The really funky thing is my faeries. They suck.
    I got 3 of these - h***://***.xoxide.com/evercool-nbfa1-notebook-fan.html
And they perch on the back vents, happily sucking away all the hot air. They have been poorly reviewed, but as a longtime PC owner/builder, the push-pull action of the fans on the bottom pumping cold air into the system, and the fans on the back drawing it out, results in increased airflow and more effective cooling. They actually move alot of air, I have one hooked up to my Dell right now, and the air coming out of it is 35-40C.

Add to all that an overhead AC vent with the power of a small fan that keeps my tiny room at a chilly 15C, OCing should be a blast, and Im psyched to see what 3dmark06 scores I can get.

I'll try to throw some pics up when I can.

The ONLY complaint I have is that WidowPC shipped it via FPO, instead of the residential adress I gave them, which means that this little screwup is going to have my notebook chasing me around the globe until It finally catches up with me.

Congratulations on the purchase of your new notebook, it for sure is a really powerful beast! :)

Everything looks good, I hate to be the carrier of bad news, but sadly, the Clevo D901C / Widow PC Black Widow SLi's processor is not overclockable via the BIOS nor via software, so you won't be able to push the E8600 in your laptop any further, sorry. :(

Upgrading to RAID 0 does not give you more storage space, just a little more speed. Better off to add another drive in non-RAID configuration if you need more space.

Aww shoot. What I mean by RAID 0 is when the SSD's get larger in size I'll throw two in as a RAID 0 as opposed to my single 80gb.

@ Widowmaker: I wish we could OC the CPU. If you ever find out how to do so, let a brotha know. That goes for anybody that cracks it, pass it on lol.

not going to happen, Clevo's custom BIOS does not have OC options for these D900 notebooks.

You can only OC through software like RMclock if your CPU does not have a multiplier lock.

    look at my sig. :)

and i tried that as well.

now this VeEuzUKY guy says he has a qx9650 in his np9262 and that it's over clocked to 3.2 and he can go as high as 3.6 using cpucool.

well i tried and can't get it to work. im still waiting on him to explain how to make it work if it in fact really does work. since i've looked all over the net for someone with an over clocked np9262 and only one name comes up.... his.
