I notice that on some sites, such as Discountlaptops.com, if you choose the Gigabyte a/b/g wifi card then you can't get Bluetooth. Other sites, like Hypersonic, state that their wireless a/b/g card isn't 64-bit compatible.

Is there some sort of issue with the wireless a/b/g cards and Bluetooth, as well as the wireless a/b/g and 64-bit?

    No.

I assume you are talking about the Sager NP9890 or NP9750. With those machines you just have three choices, one of which is a Combo 802.11a/b/g card with Bluetooth.

The Gigabyte (brand) Super 108 card just isn't offered as a combo card with Bluetooth, and the other 802.11a/b/g card is offered without Bluetooth for those who don't need Bluetooth and don't want to spend the extra money.

I'm not sure I understand. Does the Gigabyte card come with Bluetooth as well as wireless a/b/g? From reading Discountlaptop's site I got the impression that it wasn't compatible with Bluetooth.

Any idea what model of Gigabyte mini-PCI card Sager uses? Someone on here, a couple of weeks ago, said that it was a GigaByte GN-WIAG. However, according to Google, the GN-WIAG only supports wireless b/g. The only mini-PCI card that I can find on Gigabyte's website that supports wireless a/b/g is the GN-WI01HT.

Jason, please read this sentence: "The Gigabyte (brand) Super 108 card just isn't offered as a combo card with Bluetooth"

Yes, it is that Gigabyte GN-WI01HT

Sorry, I was confused because you also said ". . .one of which is a Combo 802.11a/b/g card with Bluetooth."

I don't think you can get a wireless a/b/g card with bluetooth. You can just get wireless g with Bluetooth.

So the a/b/g card is a GN-WI01HT eh? And that card supports WPA2. Wooooo, I'm liking the sound of that. :)

No prob Jason...and you are correct, I should have said 802.11g + Bluetooth...not a/b/g. I apologize for that mistake.

I agree, that Gigabyte card is hot...but you need an Atheros based wireless router to make the 108Mbps card go.

One more question, what version of Bluetooth does the 9750's Bluetooth card support? 2.0? 1.2?

Best wireless gaming mouse I have used is the Logitech G7 and it is also what I use for my 5760.
What I like best about it is the 2 rechargeable batteries that you can switch on the fly.
No need to worry about your wireless mouse dying in the middle of a game when you can just switch with a freshly charged battery that sits in the charger.
(I have switched batteries in 2 seconds flat easy)
Just do not like mice that has to sit in the charger to recharge.

Too bad it isn't BT though.
But it cost a bit less than the MX900 and is made specificly for gamers in mind.

I even tried the Razer Copperhead and actually returned it the same day I got it as I just liek the G7 much better.

I agree on the G7. Simply the best wireless mouse I've ever used. It improved my FPS gaming immediately by eliminating lag with its 2.4 GHz connection.

    Not Bluetooth though...
