    Hello again
For about a week and a half my wifi has been iffy, disconnecting from the Internet (but not from the wifi itself) semi-frequently until it stopped working entirely Thursday evening after I restarted my laptop (NP8652). I've tried everything including uninstalling drivers, ipconfig restarts, manually setting IP addresses, turning off firewalls, but nothing seems to work in fixing the 'limited' connection sign. I'n wondering if this is still an issue I can solve on my end or if it's a hardware failure that I need to send in my laptop for. Thanks.

It's not a hardware problem. Since you are connected to Wi-Fi, your card works fine. The fact that you get limited connectivity is related to configuration - maybe your local config or it may be something on a router but the card is working and connecting so it's not a hardware issue.

The error I have been getting is "wifi doesn't have a proper ip configuration" so I guess what you said makes sense. It's strange though, my other devices are working fine and it was only my laptop that had been getting connectivity issues for a week or so. Before that it was connected to my school Internet just fine as well, so I'm kinda clueless as to how a restart messed everything up.

My other devices are working fine, and so are everyone else's (using the schools Internet). It's just my laptop that's been doing this.

Have you tried deleting that connection in your wireless connection settings, then reconnecting again? Also, maybe go in to the device manager, and the properties and advance settings for your wireless card. Check to see if it is using all available bands and wireless modes, with your transmit power set to high.
