Hi all, I'm gonna purchase a P151EM this summer, first I intended to get the GTX 660M GPU for sure since it's a Kepler GPU, later the reseller said that GTX 660M won't be available for P151EM.

I mainly seek for new tech and good power efficiency, not the best performance so I really don't want to get a new lappy with an old 40nm GPU, and GTX 680M or 7970M is out of my budget, my only hope is AMD 77XXM/78XXM series with MXM version. Will they be availbale for P151EM/P150EM? Appreciate any information and thanks in advance.

I always just assumed they were using the 670m until they ran out then would switch to the 660m. This was not based on any facts but just a deduction based on production costs of the old 500 series compared to the 600. Any reseller care to confirm/deny?

Pretty sure mythlogic allows you to put a 660m in a 9130.

Must be a reseller choice, probably. My local reseller actually only has the 660 available for the 151EM

There may be a laptop released soon with a 660 soldered on based on the W series.

    Thanks guys, all rep+.

Currently I'm in China and the the reseller just announced the GPUs can be supported by P151EM in this post

    ¡¾Éý¼¶¡¿P151EM ÄÜ»»µÄÏÔ¿¨ÈçÏ ´ó¼Ò¿´¿´ ¶¼ÊÇ·½±ãÕÛÌڵİ®²ð¿Í±Ê¼Ç±¾¸Ä×°Íø Geek ¼«¿Í ±Ê¼Ç±¾²ð½â ±Ê¼Ç±¾²ð»ú ±Ê¼Ç±¾¸Ä×° ±Ê¼Ç±¾¸ÄÔì ±Ê¼Ç±¾³¬Æµ ±Ê¼Ç±¾Éý¼¶ ±Ê¼Ç±¾Î¬ÐÞ ±Ê¼Ç±¾É¢ÈÈ ±Ê¼Ç±¾ÏÔ¿¨ ±Ê¼Ç±¾´¦ÀíÆ÷ ±Ê¼Ç±¾Íâ¿Ç ±Ê¼Ç±¾ÄÚ´æ ±Ê¼Ç±¾Ó²ÅÌ ±Ê¼Ç±¾Ö÷°å ±Ê¼Ç±¾ÆÁÄ» (in Chinese)

According to his post at least there is no GTX 660M GPU Clevo version so I can just hope that Alienware's 660M GPU can be installed into P151EM or the 77XXM/78XXM GPU in the future.

Not considering to get the W series since the P series has much better cooling solution...
