Just out of curiosity will this RAM work in conjunction with the 4GB Installed as standard, and also can anyone suggest anything better?

Just want to ask in advance, I know 8Gb RAM is overkill at this moment in time. I would wait but RAM goes up in price the longer when new versions are brought out, due to it being mass produced. So I was going to jump on it while its cheap, or should I wait until 4GB sticks are more affordable??

Are you saying you want to replace your current RAM with that 4GB(2x2GB) kit, or that you want to use your current RAM with it?

That's the same RAM I use in my M860ETU.

    Short answer: No

Long answer: Your laptop (and almost all laptops) only have 2 RAM slots, hence if you want more than 4GB RAM, you will need 4GB sticks.

I want to use that with my current ram (which came standard) to make it 8GB.

    What are your thoughts ?

Can the 860 take 2x4GB and would this work faster ?

Yes the 860 can take 2x4GB, but it really won't help anything unless you're doing heavy photo/video editing/3d modelling.

Also see my post above (as you replied at the same time)
