    Hello Everyone,
I'm new here and I could use a little help.
    I have the following Laptop
    pro-star D9C D901c Laptop
    5.2a rev Motherboard
    E6750 CPU
    4GB of Memory
    7950 GTX go

I have been wanting to upgrade the cpu to a quad core and replace my 7950gtx go to a gtx280...so I did some research and found most recent bios available that would allow me to do this.
After installing the H8D900C.13N (installed 1st) & D9C_22 Bios (installed 2nd) which went good...I rebooted the computer. Everything tested fine, but when it tries to load Win 7, it crashes right after the Win 7 Logo starts to load. I have tried to run the repair, but it doesn't find what is wrong and kicks me out. I realize now I should have moved my important stuff, and deactivated the computer for Itunes, in case I need to reinstall...but I screwed up.

To test it further, I had an extra Hard drive laying around, so I have tried to reinstall Win 7 and it seems to work just fine.

So now my concern deals with the previous hard drive and the information that was on it.

Did the bios crash my installation of Win 7?

Can anyone give me suggestions on how to repair the previous installation of Win 7?

Do you have any suggestions to repair it without losing my Information? (I'm mostly concerned about my Itunes and it's 3rd computer activation, If I can't get into itunes to deactivate the computer do you have any suggestions to help?)

Should I try to go back to the previous bios? (which was d900c 1.00.05 & EC 1.00.03N).
If so, does anyone have those two bios saved, and would be willing to point me in the right direction to download.

Again, any help would be appreciated.

    T.J.

Did you make sure the settings in your bios were correct after the bios flash?

I would check the HDD settings, try set it to compatibility.

Have you tried running a Windows 7 repair from the F8 boot menu?

    Instructions can be found here.

Can it be an AHCI <-> IDE issue ?

Sounds like the SATA AHCI mode got changed by the BIOS flash, try setting it back to compatible/IDE or if it's already there to Advanced/AHCI.

    Edit: beaten to it...

    Everyone,

    Thank you....problem solved.
I can't believe I missed that in the bios...I totally forgot I had switched that when I bought these two hard drives.
