Hey guys,
I have an NP8651 laptop. I recently upgraded to Windows 10 and haven't had any issues yet. I noticed that Sager has recently posted Windows 10 drivers. I've downloaded a few and installed them. There were others that I was about to install, such as the Control Center, but Windows 10 said that they were unsafe to install and might put my PC at risk. Should I disregard that message and install the software?
TIA,

If you are getting the ones directly from Sager's site you should be good to go. If you are getting them from a 3rd party site, then you might want to be cautious with those ones. But coming from the manufacturer directly, that is probably the best place to get them.

I used the Sager drivers for my P771ZM-G.
And all working perfect. -

Windows may have given you that notice just as an extras caution, just like when you try to install most programs. There should be no problems with them.

Do you have a link to the sager page where I can download the Windows 10 drivers? I sent an email to tech support asking about Windows 10 drivers and they told me it wouldnt be available for another month atleast.

Thanks Hutsady. I will try that when I am back home tonight. FWIW.. I was able to get most of the stuff to work. Whats not working right now are mainly the fingerprint reader and the touchpad gestures. The basic touchpad works. And I have also noticed that if I run the "Fingerpad Sensing" app, then it tends to crash my system. But TBH, it was doing that even before I upgraded to Windows 10. I think there was some other windows update before 10 that started this. The laptop keyboard and touchpad would stop working. But my externally connected keyboard, mouse and graphics tablet would work just fine. And eventually the system would suddenly turn off. I wasnt able to find out what was causing the issue while troubleshooting like looking at the event viewere logs or anything.

You can check Clevo's site and see if they have an updated version of the Egis finger print driver. Also, the newest drive for the touchpad to enable to the gestures again possibly. I would try the drivers for the 8258, as Hutsady said.

I downloaded the latest drivers for 8258 for the touchpad. But its still a no go. Whenever I enable the "Finger Sensing Pad - User Interactive Program" by Sentelic Corporation on startup, the keyboard and the trackpad go dead and I cannot use it at all.
And looks like Clevo, unlike Sager, hasnt even released any Windows 10 drivers http://www.clevo.com.tw/en/e-services/download/ftpOut.asp?Lmodel=P1xxSM<ype=9&submit=+GO+ -

I have tried that before. But I can't find a link to download drivers from their website. The only ones I find are third party untrustworthy sites like http://www.driverscape.com/download/finger-sensing-pad
Even tried downloading the one from Lenovo's site for Windows 10. That gave me an "unrecognized system" error message. -
Unfortunately there is going to be hardware that doesn't work with 10 at all for now much like every other OS release. I was fortunate that almost everything worked out of the box and the things that didn't work worked with the old 8.1 drivers. -

Windows is configured to not install its own driver through Windows updates, right?
Windows 10 drivers from Sager - Ok to use?
