Does anyone know if there is a driver for USB 3.0 on these laptops? I was getting fully W/R speed on my stick (max is 190/110MB/s) but in Windows 8 I get around 4-10MB/s.
I can't find any drivers for Win8 on Sagers site, unless the Win7 drivers will work (haven't tried).

    Has anyone found them?

The thing with windows 8 is that the USB 3.0 drivers come built-in, not sure if you can install windows 7 drivers though.

Have you tried updating the chipset driver first? I'm not sure about all models with USB 3.0 support, but some boards' chipset driver includes support for the USB 3.0 controller as well, I think.

If that's a no go, then you can try contacting Sager to see if there is a download from the component/board manufacturer, unless you can figure that out on your own through Device Manager, or using the Unknown Devices program.

Your windows 8 should have usb 3.0 driver from Microsoft . Dont bother downloading intel usb 3.0 driver beacuse they are designed for only windows 7 . Intel is refusing to supply their own drivers for windows 8 (I dont why there is big discussion on intel forum) . But I am glad anyway, well maybe it applies to me and other users. Why ? because when you use virtual machine software you can not use usb devices plugged in usb 3.0 beacuse intel driver are blocking it as well as they dont give support for the compaines that makes softare. However , when using windows 8 , you can use your devices in VM software. I have not tired but saw on other forums. That is why I have not switched to windows 8 yet

The driver is working great for me and I'm now getting faster USB 3 transfers.
