Wow, I just had a keyboard replaced. It feels totally different. The one I had from June, 2012 was loud and little cushioning on the keys. I had some issues with my numpad not working and I need that for some data entry/excel work I do. Had it replaced and wow. It feels dramatically different. The keys are much quieter and there is some cushioning as well.

They must have changed something form the 2012 Win7 edition keyboard and the Win8 edition keyboard.

I'm also on the XMG BIOS with the Windows key on the right and Fn key on the left. But putting this Win8 key in, it's switched around. Lot of differences here.

Did you have to send in your laptop or keyboard for a replacement?

My keyboard is one of the early ones as well and it has trouble registering Tab and Caps Lock..can be quite annoying as I use tab for certain games..so I'm thinking about having it replaced as well..

    Thanks for sharing!

Did they send it to you as a replacement board or did you have to buy it?

I believe adjustments have been made to the design. Someone suggested not securing the screws along the top so tight it flexes the keyboard down.

In pretty much every dodgy keyboard case we've had, taking out the ribbon connector and reseating it has fixed the issues.

It's good to hear that there are some changes. My Nyx1712 is having some issues around the 't' key and it's very annoying (raised bit, hard to get keys to register). Mythologic might be sending me a new keyboard to fix the issue.

Same here hula, I RMA'd my old keyboard and got one of the new Windows 8 models. It does feel a little "tighter," though it is odd having the windows and fn keys switched around.
