I looked at customization options. How come "downgrading" to XP is $45 more expensive than vista and doesn't come with CD?

XP Professional is still worth a good amount as compared to Vista Basic and Vista Home Premium.

And yes, if you purchase a Clevo with any Windows, it will come with a disc.

Oh, good. I was confused b/c it says all vistas come with a cd, but there was no comment about xp cd.

Is it some kind of restore cd with bloatware or completely genuine vanilla xp that can be installed on other computers?

custom notebook OEMs do not bloat their Windows discs.

its just a clean installation disc. :)

Should Sager offer a downgrade option to Windows XP and an upgrade option to Windows 7 ?

I wish windows 7 was available right now. I can't wait for a new laptop until it's released. :(

When I purchased my NP8662, the Windows XP option added an extra £5 to the total cost.
