Like above, what would you recommend for gaming? Mainly world of warcraft.

Currently thinking of something around this spec.

    Sager NP 8662 - Intel P9600(2.66ghz), 4GB DDR3 RAM, 320GB HDD 7200RPM, GeForce GTX 260M, Windows XP SP3

I'm keeping XP until Windows 7 is finally released. I'm really used to it and it does what I need it to do. But it's your call. My NP8662 only has 2GB of RAM, which is another reason why I'd rather not use W7 yet, but ultimately it's your call I guess.

I'm buying off xotic and was wondering should i get Windows Vista Home Premium 64-Bit Installed (64&32-Bit CD Included) + Windows 7 Home Premium 64 Upgrade Coupon w/ Drivers & Utilities CD

Any problems with Vista home and windows 7 home?

I dont know but in my 11 years of computers usage, I'd rather stay off upgrades. But if its working out cheaper then you can sure go for it. Would it be possible for you to get Windows 7 through your college or something like that? Because then, you would not have to wait till october to get the full version, and it'll be free...
If you're not much of a power user, then you'd not have much issues with Win 7 upgrade. But as for me, I format my system pretty regularly, so I even had a custom .wim file. If youre like me I guess, you should stay on a cheaper OS (aka free OSes or WinXP if you have )and get the Win 7 full when it launches.
But then again it depends heavily on how much ram you are gonna take. I configured mine with 4 gigs and am pretty happy with the Win7(though I sometimes think for non-gaming 4 gigs and GTX260 is quite overkill)

Ultimately, its your choice, and yeah can't comment about Home coz I have Professional. Sorry dude.

Thanks for the quick reply friend. Well i work so i'm not in collage or anything i just want whats best for gaming. They offer abunch of different OS so i'm kinda confused what to get. If you had to decide between the two what would you do for gaming?

    Windows xp pro Sp3

or the Vista 64 bit + any of the windows 7 coupons. ( i could afford to get the professional as well)

I think right now your best bet is sticking with XP SP3 and holding out until we see what happens with Windows 7 at retail launch.

if it's XP, then it's 32bit unless it specifically says otherwise.
