I've had some connection issues recently while SSH ing and just surfing. I had thought it was just the network in my dorm, but today a whole group of people were all SSH ing in a class room and I'm the only one who got "disconnected by peer" error I get all the time, and my downloads grounded to a halt in my web browser and I couldn't ping google. Is there some kind of stress test I can run on my wireless card?

I can't say that I'm aware of a stress test for wireless cards. You could try speedtests, but based on what you're describing I imagine they'd all come back as very slow.
It might be a good idea to remove and reinstall your wireless card driver at this point. Even if it doesn't help the problem, it should indicate this is not a wireless card software issue.
If you can't ping Google, can you ping Google's IP address 74.125.47.147? If that worked, it'd indicate a DNS problem. You'd want to check the TCP/IP settings for the wireless card in that case to make sure a manual DNS server hadn't been set. You could also try setting one and use OpenDNS just to test.
Wireless card issue?
