    Wireless issues?

    recently got my np8660... having some issues with my wireless only working at extremely short range.... have a dlink 655 xtreme N router...tried upgrading firmware...then downgrading... adjusting broadcasting to n only, mixed, etc. but nothing seems to help....it'll be at excellent strength about 20ft away but i won't be able to connect to the web... any ideas?

    Maybe the router has not configured the WAN probably?

    Or perhaps the WLAN has the lowest prioriety in the Quality of Service options.

    My suggestion is to reset the router, make sure you have the latest firmware, then reboot it. If that does not work, email or call Dlink and tell them your issue.

    That crap with upgrading and THEN downgrading firmware can really mess up a router. Don't do it again.

    not a QoS issue..it works flawlessly within like 10-15ft and then after like 20 still has excellent connection but acts as if there is no internet gateway...going from firmware 1.10 ---> 1.11 maybe that'll have an effect..

    Did you make some troubleshooting? Did you try with another router? Did you try with another laptop/desktop?
