I have a big problem with my p170em.

i installed win 7 but it doesnt recognize any wireless adapter.

when i try to install the drivers from clevo cd it says "device not found or please enable it". i installed the hotkey drivers, used fn+f11, and it shows the wireless in ON. also, the wireless led on the keyboard is OFF.

is just the wireless that doesnt work, bluetooth is ok.
device manager is showing me a "Network Controller" isnt succesufuly install. i think this is the wireless but i cant upgrade drivers, is always telling me "device not found or disabled"

    i have Integrated 802.11 b/g/n + Bluetooth V3.0 Combo

Not sure if it helps in this case but

when I received my x7200, the WLAN Card driver from the CD did not work, just like yours.

I fixed it by downloading and installing the latest Killer Networks Card 1002 driver from their website.

You need to google the name of your WLAN Card +driver and install the latest one.

Ok open the Device Manager and right-click on the 802.11 Network card, select Properties. In the new window you should see its name and manufacturer. Try that with the FN+F11 combination too if it is not listed in the device manager.

Does the manual say what wlan card it comes with if unchanged?

If you're 100% sure its 802.11 b/g/n and you think its realtek, just try every listed one on this link:
(of course only the Windows ones)
    Realtek

So did no driver on that website work?
If not, the card might be broken and you should RMA it

anyone with stock wireless card can give me a pm? or if you have time to help, a yahoo msg id would be great.
wont take long, just want to know the exact draivers you have installed and how you did it.

kinda stupid to make 7970m drivers work but not the integrated wireless drivers.

when i installled the "Realtek RTL8723AE WLAN + Bluetooth combo card driver for Windows 7" from the clevo website it said the same thing, that the device was not found. said it for both the wlan and bluetooth, but for the BT i know it was bc my BT was turned off. when i turned BT back on (my wifi was already on) and looked in my device manager both drivers were successfully installed even after receiving those messages. installation of the wlan+bluetooth driver said that every time but in the end they both installed correctly.

    Finally i solved the problem.

they installed an asus atheros wireless adapter on p170em. not the stock realteck one. and they forgot to mention it :(
installed the atheros drivers and all works fine now.

close the thread if you can thank you
