    They are NOT coming to the laptop world for a long time. The 8800 is supposed to consume nearly 300 watts of power on the desktop and they dont have the means to downscale its power consumption.

    too bad for the power usage. I know that my Clevo D900K has a 220 to 250 watt cap.

    We'll just have to wait until the DX10 cards get more efficiently design before seeing them come onto notebooks.

    somehow i suspect you enjoyed that twilight...:lol: been reading up xtremesystem forum - nice thread on the dx10 and the g80 cooking along there...

    Anyway, as paladin said no more upgrades this yr so we'll have to see if anything comes around next year with the release of vista & dx10. hopefully the 7900gtx supplies don't dry up by then if they decide not to...

    As long as Clevo keeps making them there'll be pleanty of 7900's.

    But who knows, Clevo has been morbidly psychotic when it comes to what video cards go in their laptops. Maybe they'll be the ones crazy enough to put an 8 series card in their systems?
