I haven't been tracking these guys before now. But it appears they slipped in before the big Alienware release on the 19th http://biz.yahoo.com/bw/071116/20071116005612.html?.v=1

Maybe some of this will get Clevo to be a little more forthcoming with their systems.

You can spec out a a PCMW with a Quad 6750 and dual 8800GTX SLi, 4GB, and 200 Gb HD, ++++ for just over $4000 Visit their site and get the skinny for yourself

    Oh Well....Pop goes the Weazel.

My initial searches did not turn up anything so I went ahead and posted. Upon getting back into the forums, I encountered that some other heathen had struck first. Regardless, still good news and still sticks a finger in eye of Alienware and Clevo resellers that can't/won't move this fast with definitive information.

Official word from Nvidia, and the numerous resellers/vendors should appear within the next day or so. :)

As excited as we all are for the 8800m GTX SLI, listen to Gophn; it will come soon enough.

Pioneer Computers in Australia have been offering the 8800m GTX for many months now (no, seriously) and I can't tell you how frustrating it is when a reseller talks up and cant deliver. In case you are curious (check out the precis at the top of the page):

    Nah, mate.

Apart from the fact I've lost all confidence in them having been messed around, as you say, they are very expensive. I priced up a 9261 (to us thats the D900c I think) and it was $6200 ( http://www.pioneercomputers.com.au/products/configure.asp?c1=3&c2=15&id=2218). At p4 laptops, ( http://www.p4laptops.com.au/order-d900c.htm) it was nearly $1000 cheaper. If they mark up like that, imagine what their customer service might be like  The US resellers seem cheaper still, particularly with the current strength of the Aussie Dollar. But to salary sacrifice, I think we need a GST invoice. I dont think US resellers can offer this, but if that's untrue (or we dont need a GST invoice - I'll check this out at work tomorrow), happy to find out otherwise...
