When you are playing a game or doing anything GPU/CPU intensive, make sure you put your fans on auto... I messed up just now playing with Fn+3 on and what reminded me was the noise I set when my HD reaches 59C, "Boooeeeeoooohhhh!" I blasted the fans (Fn+1), exited immediately and opened HW monitor: GPU=88C, HD=59C, CPU=63C... Bad Bad Bad.
    Fudge.

Yes it happened with me too once on Sager 9262.Sadly it doesn't go full blast unless Fn+1 is pressed.

When I press FN+3 nothing happens on my 9262. Does that only work on 5793?
    FN+1 works though.

The 9262 only has the FULL Blast or AUTO mode options.

You guys, I have been through this.
SAGER DELIBERATELY left med fan mode on until a danger zone would be reached.
SAGER said it's OK, so if anything goes wrong, it's their word :p

I told you guys though, disable med or activate full blast when gaming..

    RAMBO29, your 9262 went to 82C?

So you guys still think the RU is not cooler than the D901C?
The 9262 hit 82C while gaming on AUTO mode and the 5793 hit that temp with forced MED speed ... :D

yea... my D901c hasnt overheated likie that and i dont think it can.. cuz you either have.. FULL BLAST or AUTO... so, you can't ever force them to be lower than wat auto wants. poor 570 owners I SAY!

    Well, contact SAGER asap.
That's the highest temp I`ve ever heard in a 9262.
Usually should be in the low 70c tops.

Contact them for the BIOS anyway and let them know. It might be something inherent to the D901C that they overmissed ...

on NP9262, do we have to put the fan on full blast when gaming?
    is the auto not enough?

It should be , but FN+1 is recommended for long gaming sessions, for both the 9262 and the 579x.

My GPU doesn't pass low to mid 70's when on auto, and stays in low 60's when full blast. It was a bummer I left fans on low, but I love the setting because if I AM doing basic stuff, I can put powersaver on (limit cpu to 55%) and Fn+3 to make my 5793 quite quiet. <--(consonance and assonance)

@ eleron ... THANKS! Not only I have printed your guide I have also saved it ... just in case someone decides to remove it or if the Server crashes (believe me that has happened to me on other Forum ... when I have regreted it for not keeping a copy).

where'd you dent it? Cuz i actually dropped my D901c on the NYC subway >_<. THE WHOLE TRAIN got up and looked at me like "WAT THE F**K was that?" curses and all lol... it was LOUD. I thought for sure it was fried... so i turned it on in my lap rite away and it worked. But no denting anywhere. So im curious how yours dented. mine hit the ground pretty hard. I'm positive this thing is solid as a rock now.... not that i'd test it out again.
