 Are these laptops easy to work on for upgrading?

With my current Fujitsu you have to pry it apart to get to the inners.
Given up on how to replace the speakers.

I have not yet received mine, but they are user serviceable, requiring a few s read to be undone.

    See Here for Photo Examples

These are very easy laptops to work on, I can swap and repaste a video card in under 10 minutes. Good access, well thought out and certainly a more metal, less plastic design. I've attached a thread with good pictures.

The MXM 3.0 card has 7 screws to remove, the CPU even less, the only even remotely challenging one is either the secondary HDD bay on the 9170 (it's under the DVD Drive, 1 screw) or the Secondary RAM DIMMs under the keyboard. Other than that these things are cake to work on.

The Sager laptops are one of the easiest systems to work on. The only other one that comes close in our experience is the MSI GT/GE series laptops.

For the end user, we have had our tech support team walk customers through how to remove components on these laptops easily so long as the customer can use a screwdriver.

Its not a good idea trying to replace speakers on a laptop. There are many things that can go wrong and your warranty is the least of them.

These laptops are a breeze to open up and easy to clean. I love my machine.
