I am going to upgrade my card from a 7950 gtx to a 9800m and i was just seeing if i will find it hard selling my old card after i replace it. This would really help me in deciding whether to upgrade or not. What does everyone think?

going from a 7950 to a 9800M definitely will have a significant difference (about twice as much).
as for re-selling the card, you can sell it on NBR or ebay... but its sometimes hard to sell... unless if another Clevo owner is looking to replace theirs.
- if you sell it for a great price (like $200) someone will more than likely buy it.
In any case, you can always keep the old card for backup and testing purposes. -
imo probably. i had a really hard time selling any notebook gpu's unless you find someone in need of that card you prob will not sell it. imo i would ebay it
-
ok cause ill probably sell it for 150 so i hope someone would buy it for the deal
-
where will you buy the card though?
and how much will the next card cost? -
Eurocom,
well it gonna cost alot more but that'll help a little with the cost and i've got alot of other stuff to sell i was just hoping to get atleast that much to help pay a little for it since i'll put it on my credit card lol -
credit card hmm
just make sure you can pay it off right away ~ never spend what you don't have rightthis is why the economy is bad now
-
Yeah i know thats why im checking to see what the odds are of me selling my old card, to help pay it off, i've got the rest of the money, lol, and yes that is why the economy is bad
-
How much has Eurocom quoted you for the 9800?
-
I don't really see anyone wanting a 7950 gtx, you won't find a d901c owner to buy it either since it's pretty much impossible for them to get a second fan and heat sink without buying a gpu from a retailer. Also as I recall the 7950 gtx was the first gpu released in the m570ru line.
-
Yeah I'm still looking around for anyone interested, lol. And yes it is hard, but hey I could see if someone would want a little improvment from a 8600 or 8700, they could switch, lol. But at Eurocom they have it for around 395 with shipping, but thats for the GTS.

How i would i come by selling it on NBR Its still in my laptop, would i just take picture of from the bottom view with the case open, or would i have to take it out?
-
sell it here:

you can just take a pic of it in the notebook with a paper with your user name on it to prove ownership.
Would i have a problem selling my GPU after upgrading?
